Suffolk Horses
Calling all horse lovers! Prepare to be enchanted by magnificent Suffolk Punch Horses. These gentle giants, known for their strength and noble demeanour, are the stars of the trust. Learn all about these beautiful animals, and how they shaped the landscape of East Anglia and helped develop farming throughout the Eastern counties! They really are incredible animals!
Did you know that the trust houses the world's oldest and largest Suffolk Punch Stud Farm?
Take a leisurely stroll through the Pets Paddocks, where you can meet these majestic creatures up close and learn about their fascinating history. You'll also meet a range of cute animals including chickens, pygmy goats, ducks, guinea pigs, Suffolk sheep, donkeys and pigs. Or why not head over to the Stables for a harnessing and braiding demonstration?
Make sure to hop on the tractor-trailer ride for a scenic ride around their 120-acre farm. This fun tractor ride takes you around the farm as you look around the farm, take in the scenery and spot resident animals.
Suffolk's History
For all those knowledge seekers out there, we definitely recommend checking out the exhibition hall. You'll learn loads about the Suffolk Punch horse breed, the history of horses, farming in history, the lives of farmers, vintage grocery items and arable farming (brewing, malting and milling).
Make sure to stop by the Heritage Museum in the Visitor Centre too! The museum showcases Suffolk's agricultural history with a range of exhibits on the Suffolk Punch breed of horse, Suffolk's 3 big engineering firms, manual farming artefacts, vintage grocery items from the East of England Co-operative Society, equipment and so much more!
Fancy seeing a range of horse-drawn vehicles and implements that are still in working condition? Then head on over to the Implement Barn where you can get up close and personal with a range of really cool farming equipment and learn more about the history of Suffolk farming.
While you are at it, you have to see the Harness Room! It's full of everything needed to work and show a Suffolk Punch Horse. You'll find a range of equipment including leather bridles with bits, bridles with blinkers, reins, work lines, chains, wide leather bands (rollers), side reins, collars with hames, saddles, breechings and cruppers.

Play Areas
Suffolk Punch Trust has indoor and outdoor play areas as well as 3 farm trails for families to enjoy. The outside play area features tractor slides, swings, and a climbing frame and the indoor (undercover one) has a poly tunnel with ride-on tractors. They even have a colouring/craft room full of super fun craft activities for children to take part in.
Oh, and make sure to collect your activity book before you begin. Once you've completed the stamp trail around the farm, you'll win a prize!
Cafe
Enjoy a hot or cold homemade breakfast or lunch in The Suffolk Punch Cafe. Choose from a selection of sandwiches, jacket potatoes, sausage rolls, their famous 'all day breakfast', hot and cold drinks and more! For smaller tummies, they offer boxed lunches and children's hot meals. Plus they have a great selection of freshly baked cakes, scones and more!
If you've brought your own lunch then why not head over to the picnic area to enjoy your food in the heart of the farm? There are plenty of wooden picnic benches and picnic rugs available.
Alongside the picnic tables, there's also indoor seating available and an outdoor covered terrace.
Gift Shop
Don't forget to stop by the gift shop before you leave. You'll find the perfect souvenir to commemorate your day out at Suffolk Punch Trust. They have a range of unique items including clothes, art, books, toys, mugs, accessories, stationary, prints and more!
Make sure to check out their 'New To You' Tack Shop in the Visitor Centre. It's full of a range of items at affordable prices. Plus all of the proceeds go directly to helping save the critically endangered Suffolk Punch Horses.

From 29th March until 22nd April, Suffolk Punch Trust will be open every day except Tuesdays.
After 22nd April, they will be open 4 days a week (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday).
Stud Farm is open from 10:30 am - 3:00 pm.
