Attraction Information

With over 2,000 animals there is plenty to see and do at Paignton Zoo. See them all: giraffes, lions, gorillas, cheetahs and thrilling crocodiles, plus cheeky meerkats, colourful snakes and amazing monkeys. There are indoor play areas, a Jungle Express train and uniquely, 6 habitats that mimic the animals' natural environment.

There is just so much to do: take in the Feathered Feats bird show, join the keepers for a fun talk, catch the animals at feeding time or let the train take the strain with a trip around the Lake!

There are plenty of indoor and outdoor play areas where the kids can let off steam and you can refuel at the Island restaurant or at one of the snack kiosks located around the site.

Loads to see!! 5 out of 5 stars

It was a fun day for everyone in the family! There is a lot of walking so be prepared to walk! The zoo is massive! All of the animals had a lovely home that was big and spacious. They were very well taken care of. We loved the Lemur experience. The Lemur got so close to us! There is loads to do at the zoo as well. Nice playgrounds and talks. I would recommend going earlier in the day to see all the talks. We went after 2 pm at it was quite nice because the massive groups had left. The food was great as well. It was a fantastic day out!

Fantastic zoo for whole family 5 out of 5 stars

What a brilliant day out we had at Paignton Zoo. Beautiful setting and great selection of animals. There's lots to see - probably need about 4 or 5 hours to see everything. Well worth a visit if you're in the Devon area.
