About Saltram House and Gardens
Ready to step back in time and embark on a family adventure? At Saltram you can discover what life was like living as a Georgian in the Regency period, with plenty of family fun to be had.
Explore the historic house
As you stroll through the stunning 18th-century mansion, gaze at the luxurious details and don’t miss the extraordinary details waiting to be discovered at every turn. Explore the beautiful collections of paintings, pottery, and furniture. Kids will love trying on Georgian costumes and imagining life as a noble from the past. The house is filled with fascinating stories of its past inhabitants, making it a captivating experience for all ages. Discover the history of the Parker family and the amazing collection of items and paintings adorning Saltram's showrooms. You can measure the width of your buggy at Visitor Welcome to see if you can bring your buggy into the ground floor of the house. There are some steps leading out through the kitchen, so the volunteers will direct you back along the route to the front door. Alternatively, you can leave your buggy at the front of the house undercover.
