Attraction Information
National Cycling Centre is an excellent place if you are already a cycling fan, or if you want to get more active and have fun.
Sessions are available on the track for anyone who wants to have a go at this exciting sport. One lap of the track is 250m (820ft). The centre has the only permanent indoor BMX track in the UK, with a programme that caters for everyone whatever their age or skill level.
There are 12km (7.5 miles) of Mountain Bike trails, with four different skill levels from easy to expert. If you enjoy mountain biking, there are sessions available throughout the school holidays.
If you don't fancy a cycle, there is a great spectator area, or you could try your hand at some of the other sports available, such as basketball, netball and badminton. You can also do yoga or take a Wattbike session. Safety is important and you need to wear the right gear so it is a good idea to either check online or call before you visit as there are different instructions depending on your acitivity choice. A great place to get active with family and friends.
