From Manchester Piccadilly: Take the 1, 2, or 3 Metroshuttle buses (which are free!) that run from Manchester Piccadilly Station and drop off near the museum at Cathedral Gardens. The ride takes approximately 10-15 minutes.
From Other Locations: Many local buses, including those from Greater Manchester and surrounding areas, stop at the nearby Shudehill Interchange or Manchester Victoria. From either stop, it’s just a 5-minute walk to the museum.
By Train:
From Manchester Victoria Station: The museum is only a short 2-minute walk from Manchester Victoria Station. Simply exit the station, head towards Cathedral Gardens, and you’ll spot the museum’s striking modern glass building.
From Manchester Piccadilly Station: It’s about a 15-20 minute walk to the museum from Manchester Piccadilly Station, or a short 5-10 minute taxi ride. Alternatively, you can hop on the free Metroshuttle bus or catch the tram from Piccadilly Gardens to Exchange Square, which is located right next to the museum.
By Car:
The Museum advises guests to travel green and use public transport, which is why there is no onsite parking. But there is parking nearby.
