Manchester Craft and Design Centre
About Manchester Craft and Design Centre
Established in 1982 in a former Victorian fish market, Manchester Craft and Design Centre is a creative community in the heart of the Northern Quarter. The Centre has more than 20 maker studio shops over two floors all belonging to independent businesses selling textiles, jewellery, accessories, ceramics, glass, prints, art and homeware. We host regular workshops in jewellery making, ceramics and print making, plus host regular exhibitions. We run children's craft workshops and have a community hub which families are welcome to use all day, every day. The community hub is full of craft materials and activity sheets, all of which are free to use.
