Isle of Wight Zoo
Sandown, Isle of WightAbout Isle of Wight Zoo
The Isle of Wight Zoo is a favourite destination for all ages. Situated alongside Yaverland beach, the zoo provides a fun, educational and wholesome day out for all the family.
Children can bring their passion for animals to life through face-to-face encounters with the animal care and education team who are on hand to share their knowledge and enthusiasm for big cats, lemurs, monkeys and even creepy crawlies! Children can experience the wonders of coming to within inches of the stars of ITV's 'Tiger Island' when white tiger Zena and tabby tiger Diamond investigate their fans through glass viewing windows in the Kanha and ranthambore exhibits.
For those children who like to get a little more hands-on, the zoo has an indoor animal handling zone. There is also Zoolittle Farm, where children can pet animals such as pigs and goats.
