The UK's only museum dedicated to D-Day.
The D-Day Story is a must-see for every family. The story of this momentous moment in World War Two is told in three distinct parts and ensures there is something for all ages. It is the home to the LCT 7074, the last surviving Landing Craft Tank that took part in the D-Day landings. You can discover what it was like on the crossing to France, it also has two tanks on board - a Sherman Grizzly and Churchill Crocodile, at the time it would have had 10 on there and more than 40 men.
The museum tells the story of D-Day through personal possessions held in the museum's collection.
The visit ends in the Overlord Embroidery, at 83 metres long it tells the story of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy over 34 panels.
