Heaton Park
Prestwich, Greater ManchesterAbout Heaton Park
Heaton Park is the ‘biggest and best’ park in the North West!
Over 640 acres of parkland, it features a children’s play area, an animal centre, a boating lake and land train and much more. With three full sized football pitches it’s a great spot to run your own tournament, or practice your navigation skills on the orienteering course.
If you struggle to get the motivation to move your feet any quicker than a leisurely pace there are organised runs and walks on the listing page online, or get 5k under your belt first thing on a Saturday morning with a park run.
Plan your day around engaging in activities or enjoying the tranquillity of the lake with just a fishing rod for company. Go and visit the animals in the old stables including alpacas, chickens, cows, goats and more. If you’re weighed down from a delicious Sunday lunch take the tram or visit the garden centre and indulge in something sweet!
