There are so many animals to visit at Lancaster Park and Animal Farm, a family run children’s petting farm in Chadderton, near Oldham.
Animals include sheep, horses, rabbits, chickens, mice and ducks to name a few. Families can meet, touch and feed the animals even the babies as and when they arrive throughout the year!
In the farm grounds you can ride the Caterpillar – a single barrel cart pulled along by a quad bike, have a race on the Rooster Rally - a hale bale lined race-track with battery powered quad karts, or use the mini JCB digger look for buried treasure on Digger Island.

A great value day out for the whole farm-ily! We have lots of animals all dotted around our nature walk, a half mile walk surrounded by the Rochdale canal and situated in the valley of the River Irk. We have guinea pigs, rabbits, fancy rats, chickens, ducks, miniature donkeys, horses, ponies, pigs, sheep, alpacas, peacocks, giant tortoises and much more!
Come and feed and pet our animals!
Whether you’d like to pet our guinea pigs, rabbits or fancy rats, help us to bath our giant tortoises or feed our miniature donkeys, ponies and pygmy goats, we have something for everyone!
Blow off some steam at our play areas!
We have 2 play areas with swings, slides, ziplines, and picnic seating! Ride the Caterpillar barrel ride, drive our electric mini quads or dig up the sandpit at Digger Corner! Grab an ice cream or a hotdog from our kiosks or bring along your own picnic if you prefer!
