Foxdown Childrens Farm
Bridport, DorsetAbout Foxdown Childrens Farm
Foxdown is set on the top of the beautiful Marshwood Vale in West Dorset, with far reaching views across to the local Jurassic coastline.
Foxdown has been a small family run working farm for the past 40 years. Many years ago Adrian had the idea to diversify the farm slightly and open to the public – so that people could enjoy the animals and also the beautiful view as much as they do on a daily basis.
Between 10am – 5pm daily come and enjoy the farm and facilities at your leisure. Wander around, pet and feed the animals (animal feed available to purchase). Animal handling is available at designated times on the day.
Open entry will be available from mid March through to early November. Season pass holders have unlimited open entry to the farm throughout the whole season.
Guided tours are also available and begin at 10:30 am daily and MUST be PRE-BOOKED. Tours start promptly at 10:30 am. Please arrive for 10:30 promptly to avoid you missing out on any of the experience. Part of your visit will include a guided tour with an owner of the farm and part of your visit will include time to browse the farm at your leisure – for the whole day if you wish! Foxdown prides itself on giving visitors an up close and personal experience. Following the tour there will be time for you to stop for refreshments and we also have a children’s play area. You can expect your visit to include:
Animal feeding
Animal grooming
Animal talks
Refreshments (that can be purchased) or picnicking
Play area time
Friendly animals to pet and feed
Come along and meet a variety of friendly farm animals. Animal feed can be purchased and we offer small animal handling daily.
Guided Tours Available
Why not join a guided tour which includes meeting, feeding and handling many animals. Learn about the animals and gain an up close and personal experience with one of the owners of the farm.
Fantastic views
If you also enjoy a good view then Foxdown is the place for you with far reaching views across the Marshwood Vale towards the Jurassic coastline.
