The striking Abbotsbury Playground at the foot of Chapel Hill is not just a free playground, it's a free playground run, insured and maintained by local volunteers: thanks, guys!
They don't have much information about this place except that everyone seems to love it, with a wide range of excellent equipment to suit most ages and abilities including loads of differing swings, loads of varied slides, a zip wire, a tractor climbing frame, a see saw, bridges, tree house style cubbies and more besides.
There's a donation box on the gate, please don't overlook it! Speaking of which, that gate can apparently be tricky to find: follow the track down Hannah's Lane, you can apparently park on West Street.
