Did you know that the Award-winning Finkley Down Farm opened its doors to the public in 1981? It was actually the first-ever farm park in the country at the time!
Things To Do at Finkley Down Farm
At Finkley Down Farm Park, your family can get up close and personal with a range of farm animals, including alpacas, llamas, cows, sheep and more! You can even feed the ducks and the lambs, cuddle a rabbit, or groom a pony. Stop by Meerkat Mansion to see the cutest meerkats in town! There are plenty of animal handling and feeding activities for the whole family to enjoy. Top Tip: if you fancy feeding some farm animals, make sure to pre-purchase a pot of animal food to avoid disappointment!
Looking for somewhere for your kids to run around and burn off that extra energy? Head over to the MASSIVE indoor play barn where they can run, climb, jump and slide on a range of equipment. The play barn includes fowl play, a tube slide, an astra slide, a spiral slide, and a 4.2-metre drop slide.
Head outside for epic outdoor adventure play! Psst.... there are plenty of sections for each age range to enjoy! There are the fan-favourite giant bouncy pillows (yep, they are inflatable pillows that you can bounce on!), colourful trampolines for even more bouncing, the sandpit for playing, digging and building and the farmyard golf course for any fans of crazy golf. Fancy a bit more of a musical adventure? Check out the musical village, where kids can make as much noise as they like playing on a range of instruments. You'll also find sensory play, a tractor play area where you can sit and play on original farm tractors and the pirate water wars, where you launch water balloons at your opponents!
But that's not all! They have the Finkley Fire Station (amazing interactive fun!), the Construction Zone, Den Building and Tug of War. Not forgetting all the old favourites: pedal go-karts, mini ride-on tractors, Zip-Wire, Rocket-Slide, and the Finkley Combine Harvester.
The indoor soft play area is a safe and exciting space for the younger ones to burn off some energy. Toddler Times is a toddler's paradise with slides, ball pits, and climbing frames. And if the weather is nice, the outdoor adventure playground offers even more fun, with swings, climbing walls, and zip lines that will challenge and thrill your little adventurers.
Remember to stop by the gift shop to pick up a little souvenir to remember your trip! You'll find Aurora toy animals, Bigjigs Toys, Usborne Books, educational Fair-Trade toys by Pachamama, Mood Bears, eco-friendly Green Toys, and more! Not to mention, you may find bags of food to feed the animals with!
If you're looking for a fabulous family day out, then you have to check out Finkley Downs Farm! From the relaxed atmosphere and range of activities to epic play areas and wild animal encounters, there's something for everyone to enjoy!
