Bolton Museum Aquarium and Archive

At Bolton Central Library and Museum we have a wide range of activities and resources to entertain the whole family.

You can visit the cool on site aquarium, which is home to an amazing range of freshwater fish from all over the world! Open since 1941, the aquarium is the only one of its kind in Greater Manchester and a must-see for all visitors.

In the library children can access fiction and non-fiction books to read together, plus there are computers with free internet access and a wide range of online services great for occupying teens or kids approaching it more studiously than the casual visitor.
