Dover Transport Museum has a fascinating collection of vintage transport, and transport models of all types, including some rare enough to thrill those in the know, and a few unusual ones like a beautifully restored Romany Caravan, charabanc, and a steam roller!
Their two large exhibition halls have recreated old Dover street scenes that will stir the memories of many older visitors and give younger ones a glimpse of how things used to be. A great way to discover what live was like years ago, with these lovely bygone street scenes, historic vehicles, and model cars.
The Dover Transport Museum is home to many forms of vintage transport and also features vintage shop fronts displaying the kind of items that were familiar to our young visitor’s grandparents and great-grandparents. With a large visitor-operated model railway a visit to the Dover Transport Museum makes a memorable family day out.
Now available for viewing, the largest collection of Norman motorcycles anywhere in the world all featured in our purpose built exhibition area. Do come along and enjoy this fascinating new exhibit.

Model Weekend 2026
Saturday July 25th and Sunday July 26th, 1030 – 1630
Visitors of all ages should come along to this 2 day event when the museum is re-shaped to feature many types of transport models. The boating lake will feature both on and under water models and there are additional model railways, indoor road model layouts and some fantastic military vehicle and road haulage model vehicles roaming the grounds.
Normal ticket prices apply for visitors, and annual tickets are valid for both days.
A full catering service will be available.
