Bursted Hill Stables

All staff at Bursted Manor are BHS qualified, and they offer a variety of well mannered mounts for lessons, which are available from 5 years upwards.

Non-riding Horse Sessions are great for kids who want to get started but are nervous about it, with experience here they'll get the hang of the basics including grooming, fitting of tack and equipment, leading, lunging, long reining and lose schooling - so by the time they're done with that they'll feel like pros and be ready to actually saddle up!

On their Own a Pony Days (for children) pupils learn stable management skills which include grooming, plaiting and tacking up plus then a riding session with fun activities in the afternoon.

Beach Rides are just as good for beginners as they are for experts because they begin by talking a walk with the ponies along the shoreline and checking for debris etc that needs to be move, so you ensure yourselves a smooth and surprise-less ride back!

There are also Jumping and Showing Clinics, Horse Riding Hacks and Treks, a variety of Schools and Clubs and Children's School Holiday Stable Days, Pub Rides and Children's Parties!
