Get your band of landlubbers out in the sea air and cracking a few codes while they’re at it, on the Deal Treasure Hunt Treasure Trail.
Begin by downloading your trail PDF. It’s stuffed to the gills with everything you’ll need, including plenty of handy hints. These will lead you to clues hidden all over the shop on statues and signposts; much like the gulls who come swooping down for spare chips though, you might need a bird’s eye view to spot all of them!
The route should take around 1.5 hours to complete which should leave plenty of time to tiptoe your way along a pebble beach or tuck into an ice cream as you gaze out to sea. The highlight has to be the local castle which was once owned by Henry VIII - draw swords and see who can take up his royal mantle.
