About Betteshanger Park

Tucked away in the Kentish countryside, Betteshanger Park is 250 acres of regenerated parkland, packed with activities, walks and wildlife.

You and your little adventurers can explore the area on foot with a spot of geocaching and orienteering, or speed along cycle tracks with a hired bike (or your own!). On your way keep an eye out for the local fauna, and enjoy the gorgeous woodlands and reed beds. You could take some time to build a den, attempt the obstacle course, visit the play area or even take a lunch stop at our gorgeous restaurant.

Be sure to introduce yourself to some of the more ancient elements of the park by going fossil hunting. A past visitor found a rare, millipede-like arthropod fossil, so get digging and see what treasures are there for the picking!

Range of outdoor activities and adventures

Within our 250 acres of countrywide, we offer mountain cycle tracks, bike hire, tarmac cycling tracks and walking routes.

If you fancy something more adventerous, you can try axe throwing, archery, battleblasters or survival school where you learn to make dens, start fires and create bushcrafts.

We also have our Forest School on site which is great for exploring the outdoors and having fun in nature.

Our onsite playpark is free for all visitors, as is the on site Kent Mining Museum.

Finish your day with a stop at The Lamp Room restaurant, offering breakfast and lunch for all tastes.

We have a fabulous cycling track

Offering learn to ride lessons as well as a high quality cycling track, we offer som eof the best of Kent's cycling facilities all in one place. Our bike hire offers all styles of bicycle so that all the family can enjoy our tracks and trails through the beautiful grounds. Enjoy our tarmac track for some learning or speed, through to our woodland tracks for some adventure.

Events available throughout the year

We host some fabulous events throughout the year which offer fun for all the family. From our Wind Festival where you can fly your kite's high, to our Easte Egg Trail where you can search for your eggs through the forest - we offer a variety of days out. With our on site restaurant and facilties as well as the free family playpark, it is perfect for a full day of fun.
