Canterbury Ghost Tour
Canterbury, KentAbout Canterbury Ghost Tour
Canterbury Ghost Tour Take a twilit tour of this medieval city at your pleasurable peril: a mysterious character in top hat and cloak will guide you at a sinister stroll throughout the seamy (ish!) underbelly of the local environs, The tour starts at 8pm though they ask you be flexible as it is a friendly and fairly informal affair (say that 5 times fast!), you will meet outside Alberry's Wine Bar in St Margaret's Street and it will take around an hour, though again it's best to be flexible and allow a little extra as they'll usually take the time to respond to everybody, if they all have something to ask! Kids are welcome and the fare is relatively light and minimal on the gruesomeness and grot, but of course you take responsibility for them and accept that it will be deliberately spooky in places, though 'spooky' is largely where it ends: great for families with over 8s! They also offer group tour deals and tours with meals, so there's plenty of room for expansion if you've got extra time to enjoy the proceedings. With all friendly fiends trained and led by the pre eminent John Hippisley, you can be sure of a ghastly blast that's been delicately chilling the spines of all comers for over 20 years! If the kids are really into this stuff (as most are!) why not pick up a copy of his book Haunted Canterbury through the link which he'll be happy to sign, and then they can carry on studying the subject once they get home. Good luck getting them to sleep!
