- High Ropes Courses
Suitable for ages: Older Children (9-12) and Teenagers (13-18)
Venue type: Outdoor
Go Ape Rivington is a course like no other in the Go Ape family, with the only ‘water slide’ in the whole of the UK! Pair that with a whole load of other high ropes fun and you’ve got a great day out raring to go.
This course is a favourite with adrenaline junkies. In two to three hours you’ll have 35 crossings to tackle - no mean feat in itself, and that’s before you consider the challenges ahead. Rope bridges lead up to wobbly stepping stones, Tarzan swings and a ‘spider’s web’ to shuffle your way across. Just watch out for hungry arachnids! If you survive, clamber on up to the UK’s only ‘water slide’. It’s a massive 198m drop over Lower Rivington Reservoir onto the bay beyond and is a true spectacle. Not to be missed!
Rivington has been hailed as Manchester’s own mini Lake District; you can see why with its excess of reservoirs, rugged hills and intriguing wildlife. It’s even won the label of one of Lancashire's ‘must visit' locations, so what are you waiting for?
