The Alabaster Jar
The Alabaster Jar is an independently run paint your own pottery studio in Chorley, Lancashire.
We provide a large selection of pottery blanks for you to choose from; suitable for all ages from babies and toddlers, up to teens and adults.
When you've chosen an item, whether an animal figurine or a piece of tableware, our friendly staff will be happy to advise you how best to paint it in order to get the finished look you're after. After you decorate it, all of our pottery is dipped in glaze and fired in a kiln, which makes it waterproof and fully useable. It will be ready for collection a week later.
Prices start from 50p and go up to £60 which means that whether you want to find a little something to do to fill a spare half hour with the little ones, or you are looking for a more substantial project for the older ones, then there is something for you here.
We provide a relaxing and friendly atmosphere where you can come and spend some quality time with your children making bespoke pottery products for your home or loved ones. All ages are welcome and there's no need to book, so just come along whenever you've managed to herd the kids out of the house!
