Take the M61 motorway towards Bolton.

Exit at Junction 6 and follow signs for Horwich.

Continue on Chorley New Road (A673) into Horwich.

Turn right onto Lever Park Avenue.

Follow the road until you reach the Rivington Hall Barn car park, which is a good starting point for your walk to Rivington Pike.

By Bus:

From Bolton town centre, you can catch a bus that takes you towards Horwich. Buses like the 575, 576, or 577 frequently travel towards Horwich and stop at various points close to Rivington Pike.

Once you alight in Horwich, you can start your walk towards Rivington Pike. The walk can vary in length depending on where you get off, so it's good to check a walking map of the area.

By Train:

Nearest Train Station - Horwich Parkway:

The nearest train station to Rivington Pike is Horwich Parkway.

From Manchester, you can take a train towards Bolton and change for a train to Horwich Parkway.

From Liverpool, trains to Horwich Parkway typically involve a change at Bolton.

Once at Horwich Parkway, you can either take a taxi or a bus towards Rivington Pike, or if you prefer walking, it's a longer walk of about an hour and a half.
