Travel back through 400 million years of time, hunt down the clues in the spooky Curse of the Mummy's Hand game, crack the secret code on the Explorers Trail, and detect your way through the Agatha Christie gallery, dedicated to the life story of the Queen of Crime, there is plenty to occupy families at this museum. At Torquay Museum we follow the Kids in Museums manifesto where we aim to provide a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere with fun activities, exhibitions and events throughout the year, interactive gallery spaces, spacious baby-changing areas and a child-friendly cafe.
Children and families will find plenty of hands-on exhibits throughout the Museum with trails and in-gallery activities to keep visitors of all ages learning and exploring!

A wide variety of exhibitions are hosted throughout the year by the Museum, from child-friendly summer blockbusters to fascinating exhibitions about South Devon's amazing archaeology, geology and people. Detect your way through Britain's only Agatha Christie gallery at Torquay Museum, come face-to-face with North-West Europe's oldest human fossil and explore Ancient Egypt, including the coffin of a 2,500 year old mummified boy. Then follow the incredible journeys made by Torquay's famous explorers, from the frozen wastes of the Antarctic to the depths of the Brazilian rainforest.
