Haughton, StaffordshireAbout The Staffordshire Owl Experience and Birds of Prey Rescue Centre
Get in a flap for The Staffordshire Owl Experience and Birds of Prey Rescue Centre: home to lots of friendly, feathery faces, and those are just the staff!
Start by meeting the gang, including Misty and Texa - two huge European Eagle Owls. Then begin your hands-on educational experience in the lovely grounds of Stafford Castle. Head out on a hawk walk, watch falconry displays and take a selfie with your favourite bird. You can even fly or feed them, just be prepared for the loud whooshing of feathers as they speed past!
The team are dedicated to the well-being of their birds, many of which they rescue, rehabilitate and return to their homes in the wild. Others are long term residents which were donated as unwanted pets or saved from neglect or cruelty, so need lots of extra love! Learn more with one of their birthday packages which, as well as being feathery fun, serves up a double whammy of ice cream straight from their onsite ice cream farm.
