At Weston Park for children, there's the small matter of 1,000 acres of Parkland in which to play. And endless choice of special attractions including a miniature railway, Woodland Adventure Playground, woodland walks, giant outdoor games, natural lakes and intriguing follies to explore! A folly is like a landscaping practical joke, often designed to surprise the walker in one fashion or another, most kids love the idea of a good HoHo (somewhat deeper than a HaHa!).
The House itself offers a journey of discovery that often enthrals children of school age and offers a rich wealth of material for those writing things like extra credit reports. There is a friendly guide only too happy to offer nuggets of knowledge and titbits of historic gossip that brings to life the daily routines and experiences of past generations.
Plus, their friendly family indoor activity room has a wide range of fun activities available to help keep kids happy and interested from the posh dressing up chest, to some simple board games and a bit more excitingly a traverse climbing wall for kids to practise their mountaineering skills! Plenty to see and plenty to do, so come early and bring everybody!
