Come spend an afternoon on the wild side at Gentleshaw Wildlife Centre.
This animal rescue centre is a registered charity that offers sanctuary to exotic animals and birds of prey, as well as a hospital unit for the treatment of wild raptors. There are over 30 different species of bird of prey, primate, reptile, invertebrate, raccoons, cats, emus, meerkats and many more living here and the centre is completely committed to providing the very best it can for the care and welfare of every furry, feathery or scaly friend that crosses their door.
Always developing, the centre hosts visits for schools, extra needs groups, clubs and colleges. Visitors may also get to see some of the birds flying at weekends and school holidays between April and October (contact for times)

For over 30 years visitors have been able to come and see rescued and re homed animals and learn about their stories.

One of very few zoo licensed registered charities sanctuaries in the UK giving homes to birds of prey, exotic mammals and reptiles.
