The Pottery Project in Berkhamsted is a great place to meet friends, bring the kids, or just indulge yourself in creativity. We have an extensive range of plain white pottery ready for you to decorate, from children's ornaments to a full dinner service. Have fun with sponges and stamps and feel free to ask our staff for ideas or inspiration! We glaze and fire your piece which will be ready for you to collect a few days later.
We offer a range of party packages for children and grown ups alike! During the school holidays we run themed children's workshops involving a number of different crafty activities.
Little ones don't stay little for long! Why not create a lasting impression with some help from our friendly staff? Our washable, non toxic paints are ideal to use for prints on almost any of our pottery items (e.g. cups, plates, photo frames etc.). Finished pieces make unique personal gifts and are usually ready within a week. Alternatively you might prefer our plaster outprints; we take an impression of the child's hand and or footprint which we set in high quality plaster. The result is an “outprint” which is fully dried before we decorate it to enhance the unique creases and wrinkles. We add a few words of your choice and the piece is presented in a simple wooden frame.
We take advance bookings for groups of 6 or more. Check our website for current offers and events. Baby change facility and high chairs available. Please note our ‘Baby Fridays' can be particularly busy so it is advisable to book ahead!
