- Ages 0-12
- Indoor and Soft Play Areas
The Madhouse has a height limit of 4.5ft, an upper age range of 7 years and a maximum occupancy of 30, this place is precisely as big as it needs to be in the circumstances, with a neat little adventure play frame offering plenty of chances to climb and slide, run and hide, surrounded by safety padding.
The toddler area is a particular treat as it's pleasingly decked out like a comedy house and kids have plenty of building materials (soft ones!) to make their own structures with and their own ball pool which is accessed by a slide with a splash down landing!
The menu is largely a treaty styled one and usually accompanied with chips, but if you can persuade them toward a healthier option then go for the novelty lunch box which has sandwich and fruit components in instead!
Toddler mornings run Monday through Friday 10am to 12 noon, and there are birthday p[arties held here too if you fancy it.

*New Management - thank goodness!* 5 out of 5 stars
I've visited the madhouse a few times over the school holidays with my nephews and my baby boy, its now under new management. The cleanliness has improved, it's been decluttered and freshly painted and the food is lovely! They've also began hosting moo music for babies which I will be making use of on my maternity. Overall really please with this place, safe and chilled out for any little ones under 7.aburker0
Great for under 5s 5 out of 5 stars
I took my 5 year and old and the baby a few weeks ago, they both loved it and it was an ideal size for the little one she could get lost. I think theres a new owner, because the place has been spruced up and is open every day now! Food was great too, great little rainy day find. We got there at lunch, It was busy but it quietened down after lunch so if you fancy it a bit quieter it might be good to go in the afternoons!sajy86
Terrible 1 out of 5 stars
This place would be great for babies probably up to the age of 2 , children older than this get bored very quickly as the soft play area is very small. The owner needs to think of getting proper ventilation for when he is cooking as the place smells very strongly of grease when someone orders hot food (so much so that my baby's pram stunk of grease when we left). Also the place is never open ! Have turned up many times with my little ones only for them to be upset when we get there and it is closed even though the website and sign outside says it will be open. I have stopped going here now and know a lot of other people who have said they no longer go because it's never open when it should be or it closes early. I think under new ownership or management this could be turned into a great little place , but unfortunately at the minute I would not recommend to anyone.Anon123, Wirral
The madhouse 5 out of 5 stars
Went to The Madhouse with my son, it was a really enjoyable experience. It's a safe environment for smaller children, where I can sit back and relax whilst watching my child have fun - he really loves it there, especially the wow toy area.Anonymous
