Step into the spotlight at CoverStar Experiences, Liverpool's award-winning recording studio party venue where children become popstars for the day. Tucked away in the heart of Liverpool city centre inside the vibrant Prohibition Recording Studios, this is no ordinary kids' party. It is an immersive, hands-on adventure that lets your child and their friends discover exactly what it feels like to be a professional recording artist, complete with industry-standard equipment, expert sound engineers and a finished song they can treasure forever.
Suitable for children aged seven and above, and just as popular with grown-ups, the venue is made up of three distinct rooms designed to transport young performers into the world of music. The centrepiece is a spacious live room fitted with a studio-quality sound system, a large projector for lyric karaoke and unique underlit benches. Here your little stars can dance, sing along in groups and enjoy party games in between recording takes. The whole space is beautifully themed around the 1920s prohibition era with a warm New Orleans feel, low lighting and a friendly atmosphere that sets the stage for something genuinely memorable.
The real magic happens in the studio section, which is divided into a control room and a vocal booth. The control room is home to a state-of-the-art 32-channel fully digital mixing desk and professional outboard gear, where experienced sound engineers make sure every performance sounds pitch-perfect. Next door, the soundproofed vocal booth is where the stardom takes place, kitted out with quality headphones, a lyric screen and professional microphones. One by one, children take their turn laying down solo and group vocals, just like their favourite chart-topping idols.
A typical party flows through three exciting stages. First comes rehearsal time, where a professional sound engineer warms up the group, runs through the lyrics and helps everyone feel confident before facing the microphone. Next is studio time, the moment to shine, with high-quality lyric screens, backing tracks and professional gear helping every voice sound its best. Finally there is fame time, when the recording is complete, birthday solos are done, paparazzi-style photos with props have been taken, and everyone can relax, enjoy some music and cut the cake while waiting to receive their very own black vinyl-style CDs.
CoverStar Experiences offers three flexible party packages to suit every celebration. The Gold Popstar Party includes one song, backing tracks, a professional sound engineer, 1.5 hours of studio time, on-screen lyrics, a digital download and a vinyl-style CD for the birthday VIP. The Platinum Popstar Party steps things up with two songs, two hours of studio time and vinyl-style CDs for everyone. The Ultimate Popstar Party adds a dedicated party host, professionally edited photographs and festival-style make-up for the full superstar treatment.
