About Royal Liver Building 360

The Royal Liver Building 360 Tour is an unforgettable journey through one of Liverpool’s most iconic and beloved landmarks. Offering a unique blend of history, culture, and panoramic views, this immersive experience invites visitors to step inside the legendary Royal Liver Building for an in-depth guided exploration that reveals the building’s past, its architectural grandeur, and the stories behind the Liver Birds that watch over the city.

Located at the heart of Liverpool’s waterfront, the Royal Liver Building is a Grade I listed structure and one of the “Three Graces,” alongside the Cunard and Port of Liverpool buildings. Constructed in 1911, it was the first major building in the world to be made using reinforced concrete and stood as one of the tallest buildings in Europe at the time. This construction method has led to the Royal Liver Building being considered as the first skyscraper in the UK.

Immersive 270 degree Audio-Visual experience

The Royal Liver Building 360 Tour offers an immersive audio-visual experience that brings Liverpool's rich history to life within the iconic West Clock Tower. Set behind the clock faces, the 9-minute projection show utilizes advanced digital mapping, enveloping visitors in a 270-degree display that combines lights, sound, and 4D elements like wind effects

Guided by the mythical Liver Bird, the display delves into over a century of the city's cultural, sporting, and musical heritage, bringing the recent social and cultural history to life in a way that everyone can enjoy.

Combining an original score, sound effects and the ticking of the original clock mechanisms to add to the atmosphere the audio-visual experience delights both locals and visitors alike.

Breathtaking views from 2 viewing platforms

The Royal Liver Building 360 Tour offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy stunning views from both the 10th and 15th floors of this iconic Liverpool landmark.

On the 10th floor, guests are treated to their first glimpse of the cityscape. This level provides clear views of the River Mersey, the Welsh Mountains, and the Great George Liver Clocks, which are larger than those on the Elizabeth Tower or Big Ben as it's more commonly referred. The 10th floor serves as an excellent introduction to the panoramic vistas that await higher up.

Ascending to the 15th floor, visitors reach the pinnacle of the tour. Here, a 360-degree viewing platform offers breathtaking panoramic views of Liverpool's skyline, including landmarks such as the Albert Dock and the city's cathedrals . The platform's design ensures safety while allowing guests to fully appreciate the expansive scenery. Notably, the 15th floor balcony gained cinematic fame as a filming location for a recent Batman movie .

Royal Liver Building 360 Tour provides a unique opportunity to experience Liverpool from two distinct vantage points, each offering its own perspective on the city's rich architectural and cultural heritage.
