Would you like to feel like you’re on your own idyllic island, which benefits from a blue flag beach? So consider taking a trip to Hayling Island Beach!
This charming, peaceful island with its country village atmosphere is a popular tourist resort. At over four miles long, the beach is beautifully clean and has a Solent Water Quality Award, making it ideal for a refreshing dip in the crisp ocean.
Around the grassy dunes, which are perfect for an elongated game of hide and seek deep into a summer evening, live wild flowers and lots of birds that amplify the delights of being out in unspoilt nature. Beachlands itself has over 100 acres of land between the sea front and shore!

I love Hayling Island, we always go to Beachlands as this is where the funfair is (Sandy Point is equally as lovely but quieter). There is lots of parking at Beachlands and is £3 all day which includes a free voucher for the funfair for 4 tokens for the rides. Plenty of places to eat, toilets available and some small patches of sand on a stoney beach when the tide is low. The car park charges were accurate at the time of submitting this review which is August 2016.
