Attraction Information
Welcome to Scampston Hall & Walled Garden. There are no ropes or barriers here so explore the grounds, pack a picnic and enjoy!
Take a guided tour of the Regency Hall (with an added activity sheet for the kids). Every tour guide is incredibly experienced and bring their own sense of fun to proceedings. There are also frequent activities and talks throughout the school holidays; kids can get involved with craft sessions or enjoy a mini-lecture series on subjects like the secret lives of hedgehogs. So cute!
You might not be familiar with the work of ‘plantsman’ Piet Oudolf, but the beautiful walled garden was his design so you won’t forget him in a hurry. They’re also very popular for a few rounds of hide and seek, so no peeking! Next, why not have a stroll along some of the local trails? Kids always enjoy exploring - the Fairy Woodland walk in particular would be a great way to ignite their imaginations. Finally if the British rains start to fall, head to the Garden Café for light lunches and cream teas. Yum.
