About Camp Wilderness at Castle Howard

Our family camps give families the opportunity to disconnect and reconnect in the wilderness. Packed full of bushcraft activities, our camps are designed to give you a taster of the wilderness and a chance to make lifelong memories. Staying in bell tents, with a central yurt and campfire, the camp experience is one like no other. With all activities taking place on site, the camp becomes your woodland home away from home for a weekend.

Disconnect to reconnect

Our outdoor family camps are the perfect opportunity to unplug from everyday life and bond together in the wilderness. Away from tech and the routines of everyday life, camp offers families the chance to become immersed in the woodlands and create memories that last a lifetime.

Different length stays

We offer two types of family camps at Boughton Woods, a 2-day intro to bushcraft, giving you a taster of the bushcraft lifestyle and a 3-day advanced camp. Both camps are filled with bushcraft and wilderness activities designed to engage the whole family and maximise the time you spend with us.

Loads of activities

On our camps you can expect to get stuck into loads of exciting and interesting activities, from fire lighting and wilderness cookery to camp craft and fireside stories.
