About Saddles and Paddles

Saddles and Paddles is positioned on the canal at Exeter Quay and near a traffic free cycle route Exe Estuary Trail, making it an ideal location to bike or paddle from on your active family day out!

They specialise in family cycling and have a range of equipment such as child seats and trailers are available to allow families to cycle together. Electric and tandem bikes are also available so really whatever kind of wheels you're after the chances are they've got it waiting!

Single and double kayaks, plus Canadian canoes are all available for hire for your family adventure with basic tuition and buoyancy aids included in the price. Dry bags can be supplied on loan for valuables.

Whatever form of transport you choose, the friendly and knowledgeable staff can give you local information about places to go and things to see on your trip.

Advance booking is recommended, especially in warm weather and during school holidays. Please allow at least 15 minutes before you booking to get kitted out.

You will all need to be able to swim 25m unaided if you want to use the boats so it's a great incentive for getting them to work harder in their swimming as the appointment for this approaches!
