Redoubt Fortress is an excellent place to take kids who are interested in history, the military or great buildings.
Don't miss out on the history tours which run three times a day - they're a great chance for the kids to learn more about this grand fortress that was built to defend the South Coast from Napoleon's forces.
Visiting on your own? Stroll through the Parade Ground, investigate the gun platforms and make a stop at the sentry box - it offers a great photo opportunity for little guards to pose in.
Please bear in mind that due to the nature of the building, there are quite a large number of stairs, which may not be suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs, although a stair climber is available for wheelchair uses when you book in advance.
Saturday & Sunday 10:00 - 17:00
Tours at 10:00, 12:00 and 14:00
