Egerton Park
Bexhill, East SussexAbout Egerton Park
Egerton Park is located within a few minutes' walk of Bexhill's seafront and town centre. It offers something for everyone from leisurely walks around the lakes to more energetic experiences including tennis and basketball.
Families can enjoy a fun-filled time in the fantastic new play-zone which appeals to children of all ages from toddlers to teens. It features a range of exciting equipment including a zip-wire, climbing unit with tree house and a sand play area.
There is plenty of space for informal games of football or rounders or simply running around. Adults and older children can even challenge themselves to a workout at the fitness area on the main lawn. If you fancy something quieter then why not try your hand at bowls, take a boat out on the lake or relax and watch the resident ducks and moorhens with their young?
Stimulate your senses in the sensory garden where you will find colourful and fragrant plants, living willow tunnels to walk through and beautiful timber sculptures depicting the park's past and present natural history. You may even spot a baby dinosaur!
After all that you can stop for a well-earned refreshment at the kiosk taking in views of the park or, if you prefer, you can bring your own picnic. If you still have the energy, there is plenty of interest close by: call in at Bexhill Museum on the south side of the park, wander to the beach or visit the De La Warr Pavilion.
