Pooh Corner
Hartfield, East SussexAbout Pooh Corner
Pooh Corner is the home to Winnie the Pooh in the UK so come along and step inside your favourite childhood story. But whether you are a bouncy Tigger, nervous Piglet, bossy Rabbit or a gloomy Eeyore, you are bound to enjoy a trip to Pooh Corner. A tearoom, gift shop and museum which is free to visit and fabulously family friendly. This hidden spot in South East England makes the perfect day trip. Enjoy a bite to eat in our tearoom which serves a wide range of lunch and tea time treats from our famous Teddy Bear Toast to classic cup of tea served in Pooh teapots. You can learn about Winnie-the-Pooh history and find out about its creators, the writer, A.A. Milne and illustrator, E.H. Shepard. Browse in our gift shop and find toys, merchandise and collectibles for the young and young at heart!
Established in 1978, Pooh Corner has a long history itself and a real connection to Milne family. Back in the 1920s, young Christopher Robin Milne would walk from his country house to Hartfield High Street with his nanny and donkey, Jessica. His first stop would be to buy some sweets from the little shop on the edge of the village. This little shop is now known across the world as Pooh Corner... When Pooh Corner was first established Christopher Robin himself would occassionally drop in...
Make the most of your trip to Pooh Corner, and go on an adventure to the nearby Ashdown Forest (the real 100 Akre Wood) and play a game of Poohsticks on the real Poohsticks Bridge, where the game for first invented. You can also drop by Pooh, Piglet and Owl's Houses!
There are no charges to visit Pooh Corner or any of the real Pooh Places and they are open to the public throughout the year.

With the UK's only dedicated Winnie the Pooh museum, learn about the over 100 years of history surrounding Winnie the Pooh and its creators, A.A. Milne and E.H. Shepard.
