Ardingly Activity Centre
Ardingly, West SussexAbout Ardingly Activity Centre
Ardingly Activity Centre is a great place for water based activities, whatever your age or ability level. The patient and enthusiastic staff have will introduce you and the family to the thrilling experience of canoeing, sailing and windsurfing. You will learn on the reservoir, which offers a great expanse of fresh water that is ideal for learning, in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The centre is a recognised Royal Yachting Association (RYA) and British Canoe Union (BCU) approved centre, plus it is registered by the Adventurous Activities Authority (AALA), which means that they are regularly inspected for standards of instruction, equipment and more.
Canoeing is an easy (and inexpensive) way to get on the water, and the instructors will help you learn quickly, while having loads of fun! They offer Paddle Power Passport 1 to 5 for kids aged between 7 and 11 years old, and covers basic techniques using plenty of games and includes a log book and certificate. There is also Junior Kayaking for kids aged 11 to 15 years that offers an exciting and fun way for kids to experience what paddling has to offer. If you and the kids fancy trying the exhilarating and fun of windsurfing, they can teach you this too, with courses available for kids and adults. Dinghy sailing is on offer too, with a Junior course for kids aged between 6 and 10 years old that covers the basics of sailing and is a really fun way to learn about boats! Everyone has their own boat to learn in and no experience is needed. So set sail for a fantastic day out!
