Blackbrook Park Play Area
Fareham, HampshireAbout Blackbrook Park Play Area
Blackbrook Park Play Area is green and spacious play area was installed when the park was refurbished a few years ago and is very popular with locals of all age ranges. The equipment is suitable for toddler (2 to 5 years old) and junior ages (6 to 12 years old) respectively, with all the usual fun classics represented, like slides, climbing equipment, swings and more besides. Ideal for active munchkins to get their monkey on!
For older children and young adults there is also a ball court with basketball hoop, a half pipe skate ramp and 'young persons' meeting area', i.e. somewhere to go hang out where the grown ups aren't listening! A good compromising feature if you're bringing kids along who think they're too old for playgrounds! The young kids' play area is entirely enclosed by fencing so it's nice and safe (though of course your supervision is still required) and surrounding areas nice for walking and lounging include a wildflower meadow, rows of pleasingly mature trees and a selection of picnic benches if you're not fancying roughing it down in the grass.
Features include a twin turreted multi play unit (junior) with slippery slide, handy access steps, a fireman's pole, log ramps and ladders; plus a trim trail with log traverse feature, balance beams, stepping stones, inclined ramps, a higher level rope traverse for your bold and brave sorts and a low level rope traverse for everyone else. Lovely!
