About Lincoln Cathedral

Lincoln Cathedral is one of the most spectacular Gothic cathedrals that held the record for the world's tallest building for over two centuries. Enjoy exploring the magnificent exterior and interiors, colourful stained glass windows and discovering the famous Lincoln Imp.

You may have heard of the Lincoln Cathedral in the influential and iconic battle of Lincoln in 1217 which took place across Lincoln Castle, Lincoln Cathedral and Steep Hill! This battle was so historically important as invading French forces were pushed back so that King Henry III held on to the throne. Today, all three locations hold a chain of Summer events to mark the battle.
