Frequency Festival returns to Lincoln this February half term with three evenings of light, play and discovery for all the family. Across three evenings, buildings, streets and unexpected spaces will come alive with illuminated installations, interactive digital experiences and playful moments designed to spark curiosity and imagination.
Follow your own path through Lincoln to explore glowing projections, sound installations, hands-on activities and surprising encounters hidden in plain sight. Many works are made to be touched, tapped or explored, making Frequency a brilliant way to get children and young people engaging with art and technology in a fun and accessible way.
Perfect for families looking for an inspiring cultural evening out, Frequency is free to attend, walkable, and easy to dip in and out of at your own pace. Dress warm, take your time, and discover the city in a whole new light.
A City of Digital Discovery
Frequency transforms Lincoln’s streets, landmarks and hidden corners into playful digital experiences. From projection and sound to interactive installations and illuminated interventions, the festival brings cutting-edge creative technology out of galleries and into everyday spaces, making digital culture accessible to all.
Light, Play & Discovery for All Ages
Designed to spark curiosity, Frequency is an open invitation to explore, touch, listen and create. Families, young people, students and culture-sharers can discover imaginative works that blend art and technology in joyful, hands-on ways — making it a standout cultural experience during February half term.
Rooted in Place, Shaped by People
Produced by Threshold, Frequency collaborates with artists, communities and partners to tell stories connected to Lincoln’s heritage, people and future. Driven by co-creation, social impact and local context, the festival supports creative talent while contributing to Lincoln’s cultural life, visitor economy and sense of place.
