- Swimming Pools and Leisure Centres
Ages: all ages
Venue type: Indoor and Outdoor
Yarborough Leisure Centre offers main, learning and diving pools, the latter with 1m and 3m springboards. Swimming lessons are also available and kids between ages 12 months and 4 years can take fun based training with a parent for their ASA Duckling Awards! Cute!
Then the lessons are for over 4s and their 10 stages follow the ASA badge award scheme. There are also adult, private and diving lessons available, so whatever you need to learn to do, you can learn to do it here!
Kids can also go for the Swimming DIstance Awards every Monday to Friday throughout the School Holidays from 12:30 to 13:30 for only £1.50 per child. Distance badges can be achieved from 5m all the way up to 400m and they're great for building confidence in the water as well as for showing off at school!
The same leisure centre site also offers many sporting facilities including: Junior Trampolining Programme; Toddler Gym; Dance Studio; Sports Hall; Full Gymnasium; Squash Courts; Cycle Track; Athletics Track; Outdoor Grass Pitches; and All Weather Pitch (Aquaturf).
Some activities may need pre-booking, but it's certainly worth getting a brochure if you have time before visiting to see the full range of sports they offer on their facilities.

I don't mind this pool I think it's good for a swim, only problem I've had is when I visited with my daughter and we didn't get long in the pool at all before the buzzer went and we had to get out. My daughter being about 7 or 8 at the time was devistated and she hasn't wanted to go back since .
