Goltho Gardens

Goltho Gardens offers 4.5 acres of varied gardens, with plenty to see whatever time of year you visit. A great place for nature fans and budding gardeners. The Nut walk is at its best during the spring, lined with hazel trees and full of daffodils, catkins, forget me knots and other lovely flowers. Later in the year, the hazel canopy provides a great secluded spot. The Prairie garden is full of floating grasses and later flowering plants, while the Wild Flower Meadow is filled with wonderful old fashioned grasses and dog daisies, and is a great place to spot butterflies. There is also a beautiful rose garden, and the Potager, which is a formally laid out working garden that feeds the 3 hungry families who live at Goltho gardens. This gives kids a great chance to learn more about where some of our foods come from. Make sure you take a look over the gate to see the orchard full of cherry, plum and apple trees, and also free range chickens!
