Lakeside Lodge Golf and Bowling Their family friendly TenPin Bowing Centre is open daily but it's recommended to book ahead because there are only 4 full size lanes. Admittedly they're very modern and well maintained though, with animated graphics, each lane accommodating 8 players comfortably so more than enough room for most family tournaments! Bowling is the great equaliser: with the bumpers up and the ball ramp on hand, the kids stand just as much chance as we do! Elsewhere on site you can enjoy a selection of 4 golf courses, with 3 of them being for proper golfing (so although no age limits there is a common sense skill minimum to play on the course) and an additional Pitch and Putt course which welcomes families. There's also a floodlit driving range but again that's for the older types taking it seriously, not for playing about on. They offer Junior Lessons for the kids who want to take it further, which are an hour long and held one a week in 6 week blocks, running at weekend to fit around school. However you can also book just a one off lesson to see if it suits your kids or not. Handy!
Daily opening dawn til dusk on the greens. There are only 4 lanes so booking advised!
