There is free parking at the pub which we’ve just taken over and will very soon be providing, tea, cakes, snacks and roasts on a Sunday.

The stars of the show at Highland Cow Cottage are, of course, the Highland cows! These friendly, shaggy-coated animals are sure to steal your hearts. Imagine your kids’ faces lighting up as they get to feed and pet these gentle giants. It’s an unforgettable experience that brings smiles to both little ones and grown-ups alike. Plus, at Highland Cow Cottage you can enjoy various experiences, so the fun never stops!
You'll meet Sofia, Megan, Elizabeth, Spike, Holly,Rose, Agnes and Alfie - who are excited to meet you too! Three of these Highland cows have the iconic brown and tan coats, except Sofia who has the brilliant black coat - she's easy to spot on the field! With wonderful shaggy fur, unique horns and welcoming eyes, you'll be sure to make some new friends after your Highland cow experience!
If you love afternoon teas but are looking for a unique one, then we suggest coming here! Not only can you indulge in the classic afternoon with tasty finger sandwiches, delicious sweet treats and homemade scones, but you'll also be in a heated Highland cow themed igloo! With Highland cow cushions, napkins, incredible views of the Highland coos and a cosy really vibe - it makes for a magical day out. You can even enjoy your afternoon tea, after your day with the Highland cows themselves.
But the fan favourite attraction is the Highland Cow Experience where you'll spend 30 minutes up close and personal to the beautiful Highland cow! You'll hand feed them treats, like apples, white bread, carrots or bananas, brush their shaggy fur, pet their cute heads AND snap plenty of photos too!

If you opt for an afternoon tea, you'll be able to munch on scrumptious sandwiches, indulgent cakes and bakes (like the Lottie Dot Cakes and a triple chocolate brownie), plus sip on some fizz or soft drinks!
