Herts Young Mariners Base

Herts Young Mariners Base sits on a stunning natural spring lake in Cheshunt, right on the doorstep of Lee Valley Park, and it's a genuinely different kind of family day out. Kids can try kayaking, canoeing, sailing, stand-up paddleboarding, bell boating and even open water swimming, all led by qualified instructors on the 26-acre site. There's plenty on dry land too, including climbing, caving, archery, fencing and bushcraft, with team-building challenges and orienteering to round things off. Birthday parties are on offer, camping is available if you want to extend the adventure, and it's a firm favourite with families and school groups alike.
