Fantastic children’s events heritage steam train rides and family picnics
We're known as the the hidden gem in West London as a heritage steam railway that kids just love to visit. . We also have a special miniature sit on for the little ones. During 2025 we're featuring different trains such a working replica of Stephensons Rocket locomotive to celebrate Railway 200 , a nationwide campaign to marke the anniversary of the first passenger train. Our hugely popular Dino the dinosaur train, Scream Up Halloween train rides and legendary Santa Specials will also be running.

Children and steam enthusiasts love heritage steam train locomotives, and we receive 5-star ratings on TripAdvisor for the wonderful experience we offer at such a low price. Entirely managed by volunteers
Special events & experiences
HKWR offer great family fun days out . Known as the hidden gem in West London we run a 1903 heritage steam locomotive and Kids just love steam trains. Special events such as family fun weekends, Dinosaur and Halloween weekends and Santa specials are all set at family affordable prices. Little ones love our sit in miniature train and our picnic area with play train. There's also a beautiful shady walk and there's free parking. HKRW is very much a community railway managed entirely by volunteers. We are open on Sundays from March to October and some Saturdays, but our special events are legendary.
