Finnegan's World
London, Greater LondonAbout Finnegan's World
Finnegan’s World is a boutique soft play café designed with both children and grown-ups in mind. Housed in a beautifully reimagined former bank building, it offers a calm, thoughtfully designed environment where little ones can climb, crawl, imagine and explore — while parents relax with genuinely good coffee in a welcoming, well-considered space.
Rather than overwhelming noise or rows of plastic, Finnegan’s World focuses on quality over quantity, blending physical play, imaginative role play and comfort to create a place families genuinely enjoy spending time together.
What to Expect
Finnegan’s World is best suited to children aged 0–7 years, with clearly defined zones that allow babies, toddlers and older children to play safely and confidently. The space is bright, airy and full of character, retaining original architectural features that give it a warm, special feel.
Parents and carers benefit from excellent visibility across the play areas, meaning children can play independently while adults stay relaxed and connected.
The Soft Play Frame
At the heart of Finnegan’s World is a modern, boutique soft play frame designed to encourage movement, coordination and confidence.
Children can:
• Climb, crawl and explore multiple levels
• Slide and scramble safely
• Build strength, balance and spatial awareness
• Burn off energy in a contained, well-managed space
• Find small sensory activities during their exploration
• Problem solve to build confidence
• Socially interact with other children
Unlike large soft play centres, the frame here is intentionally compact and thoughtfully laid out, making it ideal for younger children who want adventure without feeling overwhelmed.
Role Play Pods
Imaginative play plays a big role at Finnegan’s World. Children can step into three dedicated role play pods:
• A Doctor’s Surgery
• A Vet
• A Shop
These spaces encourage creativity, communication and social skills, allowing children to role play everyday scenarios, take turns, and create their own stories.
Baby Corner (0–2s)
For the youngest visitors, there is a dedicated baby corner designed especially for babies and early toddlers.
This area includes:
• Soft padded floors and walls
• A small barrier separating it from the main play space
• Robust, age-appropriate toys
• Interactive wall and floor features
It’s a calm, safe environment perfect for sensory exploration, tummy time and early social interaction, giving parents peace of mind while their baby plays.
Music
We play soft, age appropriate, music to enhance the experience and encourage a few dance moves, singing and giggles!
The Café Experience
The café at Finnegan’s World is a key part of what makes it special. Parents can enjoy high-quality speciality coffee, made by trained baristas, in a comfortable seating area with clear sightlines across the play space.
The layout allows adults to relax without hovering, while children can still easily make eye contact with their carers — a small detail that makes a big difference to how enjoyable the visit feels for everyone.

Parties & Private Hire
Finnegan’s World is well known for its stress-free children’s parties, with food included, beautiful decorations and a dedicated team to run the celebration. However, families are also welcome to self-cater and decorate themselves. There are various durations on offer from 1.5 hours - 2.5 hours as the preferred. These can be extended depending on requirements. The music can be adapted to the child's age and preference, and there is a distinct possibility bubbles will feature at some point! Additional extras can include Birthday Cake, Entertainers and Party Bags.
The space can also be hired for:
• Baby showers
• Naming ceremonies
• Early birthday celebrations
• SEND dedicated sessions
• After school clubs for older children
• Adult Evening classes - adult-only gatherings such as book clubs or creative workshops
Children don’t need to be present to hire the space, making it a flexible venue for a wide range of events.
Who It’s Best For
Finnegan’s World is ideal for:
• Babies and toddlers using the baby corner
• Preschoolers and early primary-aged children (up to around 7)
• Parents who value good coffee and a calm environment
• Families looking for a high-quality alternative to larger soft play centres
It’s a place designed for play, connection and comfort — where children can explore freely and adults can genuinely enjoy the visit too.
Relax while your children play safely within easy sight
At Finnegan’s World, parents can truly relax while little adventurers explore. Our boutique soft play space has been thoughtfully designed so the play structure is clearly visible from the café seating area, meaning you can keep an eye on your child without hovering or constantly moving around the venue.
Settle in with a coffee, chat with friends, or simply take a well-earned breather while the kids climb, slide, and giggle their way through playtime. The layout makes it easy to stay connected to your child’s play while enjoying the comfort of the café space.
It’s a simple idea that parents love — great visibility, peace of mind, and a calmer experience for everyone.
No adult entry fee because family outings shouldn’t cost extra
We believe family days out should feel welcoming, simple, and good value.
That’s why one accompanying adult per paying child enters free at Finnegan’s World. Many play venues charge adults just to supervise, but we think parents and carers shouldn’t have to pay simply to watch their children play.
Our approach keeps visits more affordable and family-friendly, whether you’re popping in for a quick play session or meeting friends for a relaxed catch-up.
It’s one of the small details that makes a big difference — great play for kids, fairer pricing for families.
Barista-quality coffee and café treats parents genuinely look forward to
Finnegan’s World isn’t just designed for children — it’s designed for parents too.
Our café serves premium barista-quality coffee, alongside a carefully chosen selection of pastries and snacks. Whether you need a morning pick-me-up, a mid-play cappuccino, or a quiet moment with a latte, the café experience is an important part of what makes visiting feel special.
Many parents tell us they return not only because their children love the play space, but because the coffee is genuinely good.
It’s soft play with a café you’ll actually want to sit in — not just somewhere to wait.
