Donkey Sanctuary
Abbey Hey, Greater ManchesterAbout Donkey Sanctuary
One of ten locations across the UK and Europe, Donkey Sanctuary Manchester is home to a team of special donkeys with unique characters and stories.
The sanctuary works with local schools, bringing children with additional or special needs to come and meet these animals. Open to the general public for limited hours, visitors are invited to get involved with rescued mules and learn all about the importance of how people treat animals.
With a great story of animal welfare and connections with other sanctuaries and farms, all of which are working hard to rescue and protect hard-working and un-loved donkeys from around the world, it’s a real gift to get up close to these gentle, intelligent animals!
