Once you've tried a few things with the family if you're keen on developing one as a hobby there are Youth Courses available allowing you to do so with an appropriate peer group.
The Saturday Activity Club is just a £10 a time and you can choose (in advance) from a variety of friendly instructors offering further tuition in many of the disciplines and activities available on the main menu.
For a more intensive experience you can lash out a very reasonable £150 for a full 5 day Kids' Holiday Week and experience a a combination of land and water based activities that is customised to consider the needs and abilities of the group as well as the state of the weather.
